MarketAxess Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: MKTX) and Moment, an AI platform for investment management, have announced the launch of a new interface that provides large wealth managers and registered investment advisors (RIAs) with direct access to MarketAxess’s institutional liquidity and pricing via the Moment platform.
This integration allows Moment’s clients to tap into liquidity from MarketAxess’ global network, which includes over 2,100 institutional investors and dealers. The Moment platform is designed to integrate retail order-driven markets with the traditional institutional Request for Quote (RFQ) market, facilitating access to deeper institutional liquidity.
Dylan Parker, CEO of Moment, stated that this partnership is a significant step in delivering “the deepest liquidity and best pricing” to their clients. He added that providing access to MarketAxess’s institutional liquidity within the Moment platform helps mutual clients connect to a “fundamentally deeper and more competitive fixed-income market than previously available to them.”
MarketAxess CEO Chris Concannon noted that institutional investors in fixed-income markets have historically benefited from superior liquidity and pricing. He emphasized that the partnership with Moment extends this institutional liquidity to retail investors, aiming to improve execution quality and outcomes for end investors and reduce the divide between retail and institutional fixed-income markets.
MarketAxess, founded in 2000, operates an electronic trading platform for fixed-income securities, serving approximately 2,100 firms globally with automated trading solutions, data offerings, and its Open Trading® marketplace.
Moment, based in New York City, is an AI platform utilized by leading wealth platforms for trading, portfolio management, and operations, managing over $10 trillion in assets for clients such as LPL Financial, Edward Jones, and Hightower. The company, founded by former quants and traders from Citadel Securities, initially focused on automating fixed income workflows before expanding to other asset classes. It is supported by institutional investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
