Lumera Protocol, an AI-first Layer-1 blockchain evolved from Pastel Network, has announced the launch of its Lumera Hub, a dedicated user and developer interface, alongside Cascade, a new permanent decentralized storage module, enhancing its decentralized AI and data infrastructure following its mainnet debut.
The Lumera Hub is designed to provide users and developers with a centralized access point to the Lumera ecosystem. It offers capabilities to access, deploy, and build on Lumera’s decentralized AI and data infrastructure. Through the Hub, users can store data permanently with Cascade, execute and deploy agentic AI tasks via Inference, and verify digital assets through Sense. The interface also supports transaction management, NFT minting, governance participation, and network staking.
Simultaneously launched with the Hub, Cascade is a permanent decentralized storage module developed to ensure redundancy, permanence, and availability of data. Unlike other decentralized storage solutions, Cascade aims to address issues related to long-term cost models, content availability, and resistance to censorship.
When files are uploaded to Cascade, they are broken into small, overlapping pieces, which are then copied and distributed across Lumera’s network of SuperNodes. Each SuperNode stores multiple encrypted fragments, contributing to redundancy and security. If a node becomes inactive or loses data, Cascade’s self-healing system automatically restores the missing pieces from other active nodes. This process guarantees a
