LECIP INC., a subsidiary of LECIP Holding Corporation, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $3.7 million by the Spokane Transit Authority (STA) to implement new fare collection systems and related services.

This agreement includes the provision of LF-7000 Fareboxes, Vaulting Equipment, and a cloud-based Centralized Back Office system, along with five years of maintenance and operational support. The deployment and go-live are projected for 2026, preceded by a three-month Revenue Service Test period. This marks LECIP’s ninth fare collection system contract in the United States.

The order from STA, which manages public transportation across Spokane and the greater Spokane County region, encompasses an end-to-end farebox system designed for cash collection. This system will include 189 bus fareboxes (including spares), garage devices, and a back-office system. The design incorporates a card-based access control system aimed at enhancing revenue security. LECIP will manage the back-office system, which will be hosted on a public cloud service.

Spokane Transit Authority operates 52 fixed-bus routes and maintains a fleet of approximately 180 buses, transporting an estimated 10 million passengers annually as of 2024.

Established in 1953, LECIP specializes in the manufacture and sale of transportation equipment. The company provides Automated Fare Collection systems, including smart card readers, fareboxes, and ticket issuers, in addition to LED lighting and LCDs for public transport. LECIP Holdings Corporation is the parent company of the LECIP Group.
