Klarna Integrates with J.P. Morgan Payments to Expand Flexible Checkout Options for US Merchants

Klarna, a global digital bank and flexible payments provider, has completed its initial integration with J.

P. Morgan Payments in the United States, enabling merchants on J.

P. Morgan’s Commerce Platform to offer Klarna’s flexible checkout solutions.

This integration provides retailers across various sectors, including apparel, travel, and health and wellness, with Klarna’s full suite of payment options. These options include pay in full, interest-free installments, and longer-term financing, all accessible through their existing J.

P. Morgan Payments infrastructure.

Industry data indicates that over 25% of American consumers are more likely to complete a purchase when flexible payment options are available at checkout. This collaboration aims to extend such conversion benefits to a broader range of merchants, including smaller businesses that may have previously lacked the resources for complex payment system integrations.

P. Morgan Payments, recognized as the largest merchant acquirer in the US, processes $2.6 trillion in merchant payment transactions annually. Klarna operates as a digital bank, serving more than 119 million active users globally and processing 3.4 million daily transactions through its AI-powered network. Its services are utilized by over one million retailers, including Uber, H&M, Saks, Sephora, Macy’s, Ikea, Expedia Group, Nike, and Airbnb, for growth and customer loyalty. Klarna is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker KLAR.
