J.D. Power Launches Consumer Behavior Datasets on Snowflake Marketplace

J.D. Power, a global leader in data and analytics, has announced a collaboration with Snowflake, a data and artificial intelligence (AI) company, to make its consumer behavior datasets available on the Snowflake Marketplace, initially focusing on the insurance and financial services sectors.
The initiative aims to provide competitive insights into consumer behavior, specifically how individuals shop for, purchase, retain, or switch auto, homeowners, and renters insurance across major carriers at national and state levels. Additionally, it will offer banking and payments providers comprehensive data on consumer payment preferences within the industry. J.D. Power’s primary data will be accessible to Snowflake users in a standardized format, facilitating seamless integration into existing analytics, forecasting, and AI models. The Snowflake Marketplace serves as an open platform for data, analytics, and AI products, and J.D. Power plans to expand its data offerings there in the coming months.
Keith Webster, president of global business intelligence at J.D. Power, highlighted the increasing reliance on world-class primary and alternative data. “The global data marketplace is projected to become a $3.5 billion industry by 2028 as businesses and investors in virtually every sector have become increasingly reliant on accessing world class primary data and alternative data in a standardized format to power their analytics and AI initiatives,” Webster stated. “J.D.
