Glacier Network Introduces Integrated AI Risk Framework for Data Vendor Platform

Share It:

Glacier Network, a provider of risk and compliance products for data-driven companies, has launched a significant update to its data vendor platform, which now includes a framework designed for evaluating and managing artificial intelligence tools.

This updated platform aims to assist data and AI teams in accelerating vendor evaluations, validating budgets for new AI tools, and mitigating novel threats such as data training risk. Subscribers receive weekly updates and email reports offering guidance for research professionals using AI for market intelligence and data analysis, and for compliance teams employing AI for policy enforcement and regulatory compliance. Initial feedback from early clients at international, multi-billion-dollar organizations indicates that the platform regularly identifies issues these organizations had not previously noted, catching concerns as often as 25% of the time on issues that could affect the entire firm.

Don D’Amico, Founder and CEO of Glacier Network, stated, “AI adoption means fundamental changes, but many organizations are moving forward without fully understanding the new kind of risks in these tools.” He added that the platform provides clarity for organizations to harness AI’s power responsibly despite fast-moving threats, citing examples such as changes to OpenAI’s data preservation rules, Anthropic’s copyright litigation, and public archives of chats.

Glacier’s newly released platform is designed to offer an integrated view of both data threats and AI threats. This unified approach is intended to enable data and AI teams to conduct diligence by evaluating vendors across a full spectrum of modern risk vectors.

The release coincides with the expansion of Glacier’s advisory board to include Caraline Pellatt, Co-Founder of Aymara.

AI, a New York-based AI safety and governance company. Pellatt contributes expertise in AI governance, having advised enterprise and public sector leaders, including standards and research organizations, on responsible AI adoption. She brings over a decade of experience operationalizing responsibility and governance frameworks enterprise-wide.

Pellatt commented, “Glacier is tackling one of the most pressing challenges organizations face today: understanding and mitigating the risks of emerging technologies. It’s a mission we share at Aymara, and I’m excited to support it.”Glacier Network LLC, operating as Glacier Risk, provides risk and compliance products and services for data-driven companies.
