Fivetran Introduces Oracle Binary Log Reader for Enhanced Data Replication
Fivetran, a global leader in automated data movement, announced the general availability of its Oracle Binary Log Reader, a new replication method within its managed service designed to provide high-volume, low-latency data replication from Oracle databases.
Debuting at Oracle AI World, this feature aims to offer enterprises a faster and more reliable pathway to move essential Oracle data into modern cloud destinations, thereby supporting advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. The Oracle Binary Log Reader facilitates high-performance, real-time replication directly from Oracle, enabling organizations to manage extensive data volumes without compromising speed or accuracy. Operating entirely within Fivetran’s fully managed service, the solution eliminates the necessity for self-hosted replication tools, consequently reducing infrastructure complexity and ensuring timely, trustworthy data delivery to cloud environments.
George Fraser, CEO of Fivetran, stated, “Data-driven AI initiatives require more than just connectivity — they demand scale, accuracy, and speed. Oracle Binary Log Reader delivers all three, allowing enterprises to replicate their largest and most complex Oracle workloads with unmatched performance and reliability.”
Fivetran is also expanding its Oracle capabilities with additional features intended to provide customers with greater flexibility and control over their data pipelines. These include Oracle as a destination, which permits enterprises to integrate data from over 700 pre-built sources or custom pipelines developed with the Fivetran Connector SDK directly into Oracle, centralizing data for analytics and AI. New row filtering capabilities enable teams to replicate only the necessary data, which can reduce costs and enhance downstream performance. Furthermore, data type locking ensures consistency between source and destination systems by securing data types for critical workloads.
Fivetran will showcase the Oracle Binary Log Reader and its expanded suite of Oracle capabilities at booth #3030 during Oracle AI World, offering live demonstrations on how Fivetran supports high-volume data movement for AI-ready analytics.
Fivetran specializes in centralizing data from SaaS applications, databases, files, and other sources into cloud destinations, including data lakes.
