FINEOS Corporation, a global provider of core systems for the employee benefits and life, accident, and health insurance sectors, has formalized a strategic alliance with PwC. This collaboration aims to assist insurers in modernizing their operations and implementing digitally-enabled, data-driven transformation across the insurance lifecycle.

Building on shared client work initiated in 2019, the alliance, formalized in 2023, combines PwC’s insurance consulting expertise with the FINEOS Platform. The objective is to enable insurers to deliver seamless digital experiences for employers, employees, and brokers, addressing challenges posed by legacy technology and rising expectations for digital engagement. The cloud-native FINEOS AdminSuite on the FINEOS Platform streamlines end-to-end insurance operations, from quote to claim, while enhancing engagement across stakeholders.

Michael Kelly, CEO of FINEOS, stated, “Having worked closely with PwC on a number of our employee benefits clients, we are delighted to enter into a strategic partnership to migrate employee benefits carriers away from legacy core systems and onto our modern quote-to-claim platform, with embedded AI and FINEOS AdminSuite.”

Rima Safari, Principal and FINEOS Alliance Leader for PwC US, added, “We’re proud to work with FINEOS to help insurers navigate today’s complex landscape and prepare for tomorrow’s opportunities. This alliance combines industry-leading technology and practical industry insight to accelerate transformation and helps deliver a better experience for both members and employers.”

The FINEOS Platform is designed to streamline complex insurance administration, facilitate digital experiences, and unlock data across the insurance lifecycle. Its features include FINEOS AdminSuite for comprehensive core operations (policy, billing, absence, claims, payments, quote, rate, and underwriting), digital and ecosystem enablement through API-first architecture, and data-driven intelligence via embedded reporting and analytics. Built on a cloud-native foundation, the platform supports scalable modernization, faster product launches, and compliance with regulations such as FMLA, ADA, and PFML.

PwC supports insurance transformation through this alliance by providing sector-specific insight across group benefits, voluntary products, and public insurance programs. The firm offers specialized talent, including consultants and engineers from its Acceleration Centers, with experience in core system implementation. PwC also provides business and technical accelerators for agile delivery, operating models, middleware architecture, data warehousing, and AI-driven migration, alongside end-to-end transformation enablement services.

Together, FINEOS and PwC aim to help insurers achieve streamlined digital administration of disability and leave programs, real-time claims processing, scalable policy and billing modernization, enhanced user experiences through omnichannel engagement, built-in compliance with U.

S. and global regulations, and actionable insights via embedded analytics and AI. This collaboration is designed to enhance operational effectiveness and deliver improved outcomes for carriers, employers, and members.
