This collaboration includes Diligent transitioning its carbon accounting clients to Persefoni’s platform and acquiring an equity stake in Persefoni, signaling a long-term commitment to innovation in ESG.
This partnership aims to equip clients with tools and support to navigate the complex sustainability landscape and meet strategic goals. Diligent clients are expected to benefit from enhanced capabilities in carbon footprint management, including advanced Scope 3 supply chain sustainability solutions and AI-powered disclosure readiness.

The partnership coincides with increasing global regulatory demands. The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is poised to mandate thousands of companies to report carbon emissions, encompassing Scope 1, 2, and eventually Scope 3. Concurrently, countries worldwide are adopting the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) framework, promoting consistent and transparent reporting. These developments underscore the growing importance of robust carbon accounting solutions.
