Datasite Acquires Blueflame AI to Enhance M&A Workflow Automation with Agentic AI Solutions

Datasite, a global SaaS provider of AI-powered workflow collaboration and automation solutions for M&A, investment, and strategic projects, has acquired Blueflame AI, a leading provider of agentic AI solutions for investment and financial services. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.The acquisition aims to redefine how dealmakers operate by integrating agentic AI to automate complex workflows, surface critical insights, and accelerate deal execution.

Rusty Wiley, CEO and President of Datasite, stated that the acquisition aligns with Datasite’s mission to enhance the velocity and outcomes of client projects. He emphasized that Blueflame’s agentic AI solutions will expand user capacity, automate complex tasks, and enable comprehensive analysis. Wiley also highlighted the importance of quality content and secure data permissioning for agentic AI, noting that combining resources from Datasite, Grata, and Blueflame will create a unique offering.

Raj Bakhru, CEO and Co-Founder of Blueflame AI, commented on the unique data available from Datasite and Grata to fuel Blueflame’s specialized agentic AI platform. He expressed enthusiasm for empowering dealmakers to identify crucial information and automate repetitive tasks, leading to faster and more effective deal closures.

This acquisition follows a $500 million commitment from CapVest Partners LLP, Datasite’s controlling shareholder, for both organic and inorganic expansion of Datasite’s intelligence solutions. Andrew Bocskocsky, Co-Founder of Grata, underscored the power of consolidating and interrogating internal and external datasets through a secure, single-point solution, predicting a transformation in processes like deal sourcing, research, diligence, and investment analysis, where workflows currently measured in weeks could soon be completed in minutes.

Founded in 2023 by Raj Bakhru and Henry Lindemann, Blueflame AI offers an AI-native, large language model agnostic platform that integrates deep domain expertise, advanced reasoning models, and secure data connections. When utilized with internal systems, data rooms, proprietary data sources, and public information, Blueflame AI enhances efficiency across investment workflows, connecting fragmented data sources involved in deal sourcing, due diligence, market research, and fundraising.

Blueflame AI will be integrated into Datasite’s Intelligence Unit and will continue to be led by Raj Bakhru, supported by ongoing investment from Datasite.
