On September 4, 2025, JP Morgan’s consumer and commercial banking brand Chase partnered with California-based credit infrastructure and analytics firm Nova Credit, selecting its Cash Atlas and Credit Passport solutions to enhance underwriting capabilities and broaden access to credit for consumers.

Nova Credit’s Cash Atlas solution is designed to provide a more comprehensive view of consumers by analyzing trended data on income, expenses, and assets to assess actual financial health. The implementation also includes Credit Passport, which allows immigrants to utilize their international credit history when applying for loans with US financial institutions.

According to Chris Reagan, President of Chase Branded Cards, the integration of Cash Atlas and Credit Passport will offer “a more comprehensive view into each individual and their credit needs.” He added that this new data source will enable Chase to “better assess credit risk, make more informed lending decisions, and approve customers with right-sized lines of credit.”This collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the organizations, which began as early as 2017 when Nova Credit participated in the Financial Solutions Lab. The initiative was managed by the Center for Financial Services Innovation, with JP Morgan serving as a founding partner. Since then, Nova Credit has expanded its offerings and global reach, establishing partnerships with financial institutions such as HSBC, Scotiabank, and Nottingham Building Society.
