Brinqa, a company specializing in data-driven exposure management, announced the launch of BrinqaIQ. This new AI-powered capability is designed to enhance the accessibility and actionability of cyber risk data within complex enterprise environments. BrinqaIQ is built upon the Brinqa Cyber Risk Graph, an exposure management platform. It represents an advancement in Brinqa’s efforts to consolidate security data, expedite remediation processes, and provide reliable insights for executive decision-making.
Enterprises frequently face challenges managing exposure due to the vast scale of millions of assets, billions of findings, and disparate teams across cloud, infrastructure, and applications. The Brinqa Platform aims to address this by offering a unified source of truth, integrating and correlating security data from various sources to construct a comprehensive, business-aligned view of risk. BrinqaIQ extends the platform’s capabilities by providing an intuitive interface for stakeholders to interact with the Cyber Risk Graph.
Central to BrinqaIQ is a new conversational AI assistant designed to make security data more accessible across large organizations. Integrated directly into Brinqa’s exposure risk management platform, it allows users to engage with documentation and threat intelligence using plain language. The assistant leverages Brinqa’s proprietary Brinqa Query Language (BQL) to convert natural-language questions into validated queries, which can be viewed in the chatbot, saved, or executed in the platform’s reporting interface. This functionality aims to reduce friction, improve trust, and enable both technical and non-technical users to quickly extract insights.
Key capabilities of BrinqaIQ include Conversational Documentation, where users can ask questions and receive immediate guidance from indexed online documentation, and Threat Intelligence Insights, which allows teams to query Brinqa’s threat feed on specific common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs), exploitability, or compliance mapping. This conversational approach is intended to make threat data more actionable and educational for security teams. The natural-language query feature for Brinqa’s Cyber Risk Graph eliminates the need for complex Structured Query Language (SQL) statements, thereby reducing time-to-value and fostering broader participation in remediation decisions.
Brad Hibbert, Chief Strategy Officer at Brinqa, commented on the development, stating that the company recognized the need for an intuitive access method to the vast scale of the Cyber Risk Graph. He noted that making the platform conversational aims to lower the barrier to entry and accelerate adoption, leading to faster, more transparent decisions and a greater focus on risk reduction.
This release is the initial offering in a series of planned AI-driven innovations from Brinqa. It enhances user experience through simplified dashboards and reports designed for easier access and actionability of insights. Interactive, out-of-the-box dashboards provide visibility into risks and remediation progress, while personalized organization tools allow users to save, share, and align views to their specific needs. Future enhancements are expected to further expand the platform’s AI capabilities.
Adi Chikkala, Senior Director of Operations at Guidewire, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the potential for driving developer productivity, efficiency, and scalability within their exposure management program. Thomas Krane, Managing Director at Insight Partners, acknowledged Brinqa’s history in exposure risk management and viewed BrinqaIQ as a logical progression, noting that combining expertise with a strong AI strategy could make security challenges more manageable for enterprises at scale.
BrinqaIQ represents the first major release from Brinqa’s newly established AI Center of Excellence. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to delivering practical, enterprise-grade AI innovations as part of its data-driven exposure management strategy. The enhancements, informed by customer feedback, aim to simplify the user experience, enabling enterprises to drive action, monitor behavior more effectively, and gain clearer insights into their environments.
