BizTrip.AI Launches AI-Powered Platform to Revolutionize Corporate Travel Management

Share It:

BizTrip.AI, a new company leveraging agentic artificial intelligence (AI), has officially launched its corporate travel management platform at the Global Business Travel Association Convention in Denver, aiming to modernize processes and address innovation gaps in the sector.

The platform seeks to reinvent corporate travel management by utilizing agentic AI for airfare and hotel booking, itinerary change management, and price tracking and re-shopping. It is designed to simplify and enhance corporate travel for frequent business travelers, corporations, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and Online Booking Tools (OBTs). BizTrip.AI introduces intelligent solutions intended to benefit all stakeholders.

The agentic AI technology is currently undergoing trials with large enterprise organizations, including Moderna, and Colorado-based TMC, Cain Travel. This technology enhances traditional search-based booking tools with an astute interface that aims to understand traveler preferences, anticipate needs, and ensure policy compliance. The platform functions as a personal concierge for business travelers, delivering personalized experiences while optimizing management costs by enabling travel planners to interact directly with an automated assistant. Instead of sifting through numerous results, BizTrip.AI uses historical data and preferences to anticipate traveler needs, delivering relevant, tailored options for air, lodging, and ground transportation that comply with corporate travel policies. This approach is projected to improve adherence to corporate policy, reduce booking leakage, and decrease agent-touched transactions.

BizTrip.AI estimates potential travel cost savings of up to 8%, which includes up to 4% through persistent price tracking and re-shopping, and an additional 4% through reduced fees, employee time savings, and decreased leakage. The product also aims to provide employees with a seamless travel and planning management experience, potentially leading to higher satisfaction and productivity.

BizTrip.AI was co-founded by CEO Tom Romary, a travel industry entrepreneur and former co-founder of Yapta (acquired by Coupa in 2020), and CTO Scott Persinger, an agentic AI innovator. The company launched from AI Fund, a venture studio led by AI luminary Andrew Ng.

Tom Romary stated that BizTrip.AI allows any corporate traveler to have a dedicated assistant for business travel. He added that it offers an opportunity for TMCs, OBTs, and others involved in travel planning and management to achieve more without requiring large teams. Romary noted that the industry is rapidly evolving, integrating new technology to reduce dependency on live agents, and highlighted the value delivered to corporations through time savings, reduced high-touch work, and consistent price monitoring and re-shopping.

Rob Solomon, an AI Fund-appointed board member, also guides BizTrip.AI. Solomon has experience in travel technology and marketplace businesses, having served as Chairman and CEO of GoFundMe, President and COO of Groupon, and CEO of Sidestep, which merged with Kayak. The company has also established a network of travel industry and technology advisors, including Eric Bailey, Valerie Layman, Dave Falter, Andy McGraw, Tom Kippola, and Christopher Zando.

Andrew Ng commented that BizTrip.AI demonstrates a deep understanding of personal travel preferences, even those often missed by human travel agents, in addition to automating routine logistics. He cited examples such as understanding seat preferences (aisle or window) or hotel requirements (breakfast, gym, on-site parking). Ng emphasized that BizTrip.AI’s agentic travel system brings both efficiency and hyper-personalization to the travel experience.

Key capabilities of BizTrip.AI include:
* Intelligent Recommendation Engine: Considers traveler preferences, company policies, and trip context simultaneously, explaining the reasoning behind recommendations for transparency.
* Proactive Trip Planning: Scans calendars for upcoming meetings requiring travel and initiates planning conversations at optimal booking windows.
* Dynamic Itinerary Management: Creates a unified view of multi-supplier bookings, detects calendar changes requiring travel adjustments, and facilitates seamless rebooking across suppliers.
* AI-Powered Policy Management: Presents policy-compliant options by default, provides transparent policy indicators, and enables AI-driven exception handling for urgent situations.
* Continuous Price Tracking and Re-shopping: Monitors prices after booking to capture savings when rates drop, applies pre-negotiated corporate rates, and automatically secures credits or refunds when eligible.
* Comprehensive Inventory Access: Connects to global air, hotel, and ground transportation options, incorporating a firm’s negotiated rates and preferred suppliers.

Jennifer Steinke, Director Travel, Meetings & Fleet Travel at Moderna, stated that integrating BizTrip.AI into their corporate travel platform is a natural progression of their strategy to leverage AI for smarter, more efficient travel operations. She noted that BizTrip.AI enhances their airfare and hotel booking processes, automates price tracking and re-shopping, and allows employees to focus on their core business activities.

BizTrip.AI aims to simplify and enhance corporate travel for frequent business travelers, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and Online Booking Tools (OBTs). By enabling travel planners to interact with an automated personal assistant, BizTrip.AI seeks to eliminate endless searching and deliver relevant, personalized options for air and lodging that comply with corporate travel rules.
