Share It:

Backblaze, Inc. (Nasdaq: BLZE), a cloud storage provider, has introduced Legal Hold for Backblaze Computer Backup with Enterprise Control. This new feature enables businesses to preserve a user’s entire backup, including every historical version captured, with a single click, facilitating rapid compliance with legal, regulatory, or HR data-retention requirements while maintaining the existing flat-rate pricing.

Legal Hold aims to reduce exposure to potential fines and sanctions by offering predictable compliance support. Gleb Budman, CEO at Backblaze, stated that the feature ensures information remains secure and immediately accessible when needed, providing compliance support without requiring additional software, hardware, or incurring surprise fees.

Administrators can activate Legal Hold instantly through the Enterprise Control console. The feature operates silently in the background, without causing downtime, throttling, or user notifications. It provides unlimited version retention without additional charges and offers no-charge instant file retrieval, with an option for encrypted drive delivery via courier. Data is secured by default through encryption at rest and in transit, with an optional private-key encryption available.

Legal Hold is now available to all Backblaze Computer Backup with Enterprise Control customers at no additional cost. New users interested in the feature can access a complimentary 15-day trial by contacting the Backblaze Sales Team.

Backblaze specializes in cloud storage, offering an alternative to traditional backup solutions. The company’s Computer Backup product delivers secure, predictable, and scalable endpoint protection, designed to safeguard critical business data against accidental file loss, hardware failure, and cyber threats, including ransomware attacks.
