AccountsIQ, a cloud accounting platform for mid-market organizations, has formed a strategic partnership with Abacum, an AI-native financial planning and analysis (FP&A) provider. This collaboration aims to offer finance teams a fully connected stack, integrating accounting with strategic planning.
Under the new arrangement, finance teams utilizing AccountsIQ will gain direct access to Abacum’s planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools. This integration is designed to enable a seamless progression from verified financial data to advanced analysis, eliminating the need for spreadsheets or manual data transfers.
AccountsIQ will continue to manage multi-entity, multi-currency accounting, while Abacum will provide AI-driven planning and forecasting capabilities. The two systems will merge into a single workflow, covering initial recordkeeping, reporting, and forward planning. The companies state that this combined offering is intended to enhance the certainty of financial figures and allow finance teams to adopt a more strategic role within their organizations.
Abacum will function as an intelligence layer above AccountsIQ’s data, facilitating real-time financial information linking across systems. The partnership is presented as a component of a broader trend within European finance functions, shifting from historical reporting to forward-looking, AI-supported planning.
Abacum offers planning, forecasting, and reporting within a unified collaborative workspace, with a focus on automating reporting tasks, improving forecasting accuracy, and supporting collaborative headcount planning. The company has secured over $90 million in funding and serves customers in more than 30 countries.
AccountsIQ is developed for multi-entity, mid-market businesses, supporting over 35,000 users across more than 85 countries. It features over 30 technology partner integrations and native multi-entity consolidation, including built-in foreign exchange conversion for currencies such as GBP, USD, and EUR.
Investment bank GP Bullhound is already leveraging the integrated platform. AccountsIQ’s integrations team developed a dedicated Abacum connector tailored to the bank’s multi-entity structure, replacing a previous manual upload process with automated data flows.
TJ Dhadwar, Partnerships Manager at Abacum, commented, “At Abacum, we focus on transforming financial data into real-time decision-making by replacing spreadsheets with scalable planning and empowering finance teams to lead businesses. Our new strategic partnership with AccountsIQ is the next step in creating a unified finance workflow from record to report to plan, with actuals flowing automatically from AccountsIQ into our platform, removing the manual export/import step that usually breaks FP&A workflows.”
Darren Cran, CEO of AccountsIQ, stated, “Our partnership with Abacum comes at the height of the AI-powered finance evolution in the UK and has extended AccountsIQ’s value beyond accounting to support strategic planning and better business decision-making.” He added, “With Abacum, we have established a partner ecosystem delivering a best-in-class finance stack. Following this new partnership, we plan to continue to help international businesses such as GP Bullhound get clean, consolidated numbers out of complex, multi-entity operations and get those numbers into the hands of FP&A faster.”
