RecordPoint, a data and AI governance platform, has announced two senior appointments as part of a strategic shift to address the evolving market demand for safe and scalable AI deployment.

Dean Gonsowski joins RecordPoint as Chief Revenue Officer, bringing experience from leadership roles at information governance firms Gimmal and Active Navigation. Craig Taylor assumes the role of Director of Partners, with a background in pre-sales, post-sales delivery, customer success, and partnerships at organizations including OneTrust and VMware.

Anthony Woodward, CEO of RecordPoint, stated that Gonsowski and Taylor will be instrumental in addressing market demand for solutions and fostering a partner ecosystem. Woodward noted, “After years of failed AI pilots, companies are learning that trusted data is key to unlocking AI innovation.”

Incoming CRO Gonsowski emphasized, “Companies are realizing that data governance is vital for more than reducing risk. If they want AI initiatives that truly work at scale, they need data. RecordPoint will play a key role in enabling data governance as table stakes in the AI revolution, and I’m excited to come aboard to lead this next phase of growth.” Taylor added, “I’m excited to bring my years of experience in software, customer success, and channel partner ecosystems to a nimble company in a growth phase. My goal is to establish a thriving partner community that not only accelerates RecordPoint’s growth but also drives measurable business value for organizations navigating digital transformation.”

These appointments follow the recent addition of Brett Hooker as the company’s first Chief Operating Officer, signaling RecordPoint’s focus on a global growth strategy to meet rising demand from regulated enterprises worldwide.

RecordPoint processes approximately 15 million data transactions per day, serving highly regulated organizations globally. Its client base includes the City of New York, Cupertino Electric, and Delaware Life, alongside Australia’s largest banks—Westpac, NAB, and Macquarie—and regulatory bodies such as APRA and ASIC.

These personnel moves align with broader strategic initiatives, including the recent acquisition of Redactive, a permissions assurance solution designed to identify and remediate excessive or misconfigured access. RecordPoint also launched RexCommand, a freemium shadow AI detection tool that identifies unauthorized AI tools within an organization’s workforce.

RexCommand is part of RecordPoint’s expanding AI governance suite, which is deployed across sectors like banking, insurance, and government. It enables organizations to regain control over their data, establish clear governance frameworks, and mitigate the legal and ethical risks associated with AI proliferation.

RecordPoint aims to address a market whose needs have moved beyond traditional information governance, as enterprises accelerate innovation with generative and agentic AI. The platform provides common governance rules and a central view of data, supporting quicker and more cost-effective AI initiatives while ensuring safe and efficient deployment.
