Transaction Network Services (TNS) has expanded its global market data infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by establishing connectivity with the Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX), one of Japan’s primary derivatives exchanges. This connection enables TNS customers to access TFX directly through its global network, completing TNS’s coverage across all major Japanese exchanges and providing comprehensive, managed access from a single provider.

Jeff Mezger, Vice President of Product Management at TNS, stated that completing coverage across all Japanese exchanges marks a significant milestone that strengthens TNS’s offerings in one of the world’s largest financial centers. He added that this expansion further solidifies TNS’s position as a one-stop shop for global trading access.

With the new TFX connection, TNS now delivers its full suite of services in Japan, including hosting, data, and connectivity. TNS’s Japanese exchange portfolio also encompasses Japannext and the Japan Exchange Group (JPX), which includes the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), Osaka Exchange (OSE), and Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM).

Ryosuke Seo, Director of the Wholesale Business Department at TFX, commented that partnering with TNS provides TFX with exposure to TNS’s robust network of global market participants. This collaboration is expected to position TFX to expand its international footprint and deliver enhanced access and efficiency to traders worldwide.

This expansion is a strategic component of TNS’s ongoing investment in the APAC region. Mezger highlighted that a key priority for TNS is strengthening its presence and partnerships across Asia, noting Japan’s role as a crucial hub for regional and global trading activity. He emphasized that the TFX connection reinforces TNS’s long-term commitment to supporting customers’ success in these dynamic markets.
