Antom, a payment and digitization services provider operating under Ant International, has announced significant upgrades to Antom Copilot, its industry-first AI agent designed for merchant payment and operations management.
Integrated into the Antom Merchant Portal, Antom Copilot now provides enhanced automation and tailored assistance, leveraging real-world case learnings to help merchants manage payment complexities more efficiently.
The updated system offers agentic support across the entire payment lifecycle, encompassing onboarding, integration, dispute handling, risk control, and payment success rate operations. It also features domain-trained intelligence functions, emulating a virtual team of payment experts to manage resource-intensive processes with reduced processing times and lower costs.
Further enhancements include improved resolution performance in complex, multi-step operational scenarios, supported by advanced multi-turn dialogue and memory capabilities. The system also enables closer monitoring of operational signals to proactively identify risks and opportunities, rather than reacting to merchant-raised issues. This allows Antom Copilot to learn each merchant’s business rhythm and provide proactive, nuanced advice on payment-related operations.
Antom Copilot operates on an upgraded agentic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture with dynamic standard operating procedures (SOP) planning. Within one year of its 2024 launch, 72% of Antom merchants completed self-service integration using Copilot. This has resulted in a 90% reduction in merchant payment integration time and a 46% improvement in dispute-handling efficiency.
Gary Liu, CEO of Antom, Ant International, stated, “Managing payments doesn’t have to be a passive and low ROI process of solving problems for merchants. Our goal is to provide advanced AI efficiency tools for daily operations at a lower cost, making capabilities typically available only to large enterprises through dedicated teams accessible to all.”
In addition to these upgrades, Antom recently launched EPOS360, an AI-powered application that integrates point-of-sale (POS) systems, payments, banking, lending, and growth support to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from setup to scale. Antom Copilot reinforces Ant International’s commitment to advancing agentic payment innovations for an AI-powered future of commerce.
Jiangming Yang, Chief Innovation Officer at Ant International, commented, “Ant International is focused on building domain-specific agentic AI to address global payment complexity for merchants. We train and tune AI agents using deep industry knowledge and a large dataset of anonymized complex cases, while evolving new agent protocols to ensure efficient task orchestration.”
