Proofpoint, a cybersecurity and compliance company, has announced the general availability of its Satori Emerging Threats Intelligence Agent for Microsoft Security Copilot. This integration is designed to assist security professionals in accurately identifying and prioritizing actively exploited vulnerabilities for more effective remediation efforts.
Vasu Jakkal, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Security, stated, “AI is the force multiplier for defenders, and when partners bring their agentic innovation into the Security Copilot ecosystem, the impact is exponential. Together, we’re not just building tools—we’re creating a new era of intelligent, collaborative cyber defense.” Tom Corn, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Proofpoint’s Threat Protection Group, added that the integration brings Proofpoint’s real-world threat intelligence directly into the defender’s workflow, enabling organizations to instantly identify and prioritize actively exploited vulnerabilities. He emphasized that uniting collaboration, data security, and AI-driven insights empowers organizations to protect data and innovate safely in the AI era.
Microsoft Security Copilot is an AI-powered security product engineered to help security professionals respond to threats rapidly, process signals at machine speed, and assess risk exposure efficiently. It incorporates an advanced large language model (LLM) with a security-specific model, informed by Microsoft’s extensive global threat intelligence and over 84 trillion daily signals. Agents within Security Copilot autonomously manage high-volume security and IT tasks, integrating seamlessly with Microsoft Security solutions and partner offerings. These agents are purpose-built for security, adapt to organizational workflows, learn from feedback, and operate securely within Microsoft’s Zero-Trust framework.
The Proofpoint Satori Emerging Threats Intelligence Agent delivers real-world vulnerability exploitation data by drawing from Proofpoint’s globally distributed sensor network and trusted third-party sources. These sources include the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams’ (FIRST) Exploit Prediction Scoring System (EPSS) and the U.
S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) Catalog, among others. Through Microsoft Security Copilot’s chat interface, security and IT professionals can inquire about the exploitation status of specific vulnerabilities. Copilot then gathers insights from the Proofpoint Satori Agent, allowing operators to accurately prioritize and report on high-risk vulnerabilities, thereby accelerating remediation.
Organizations can access the Proofpoint Satori Emerging Threats Intelligence Agent through the Microsoft Security Storefront, specifically under the “Agents” tab. This agent is available at no additional cost to Microsoft Security Copilot customers who possess an active Proofpoint Emerging Threats Intelligence license. Setup is performed within the Microsoft Security Storefront, requiring an active Proofpoint Emerging Threats Intelligence API key, which can be obtained by logging into the Proofpoint Emerging Threats Intelligence administration portal.
