Eton Solutions, a technology company whose wealth management platforms oversee more than $1.3 trillion in assets, has introduced EtonAxis to centralize and automate complex workflows for private equity firms globally. This new solution addresses the prevalent manual processes and fragmented systems that private equity firms often navigate when managing numerous funds simultaneously.
Traditionally, scaling operations in private equity has involved increasing team sizes rather than enhancing efficiency, with workflows spread across multiple software, documents, data sources, and stakeholders. EtonAxis aims to resolve these inefficiencies by consolidating essential functions into a single platform, enabling the automation of time-consuming tasks and the streamlining of intricate processes.
The platform allows fund managers to establish unified books of record (ABOR/IBOR/CBOR) with seamless integration of accounting, investment, and capital books, providing a single source of truth updated daily. Key functionalities include tracking the entire deal lifecycle, digitally onboarding investors, and securely sharing documents with external parties. EtonAxis also facilitates collaboration with portfolio companies, enabling secure sharing of critical details and updates, thereby enhancing efficiency in deal closing and quarter-end valuations.
EtonAxis integrates EtonAI to automate fund accounting processes, including customized workflows for net asset value (NAV) calculation, and supports treasury management by processing automated cash activity and real-time payments within a unified workflow. A global dashboard provides comprehensive insights into funds, deals, and investors for quicker management decisions. Additionally, the platform offers partnership and expense allocation features, automatically calculating complex management and performance fees and allocating expenses with full transparency and audit trails.
Satyen Patel, Executive Chairman of Eton Solutions, commented on the launch: “PE firms and GPs around the world are dealing with vast amounts of confidential investment and personal data and are overloaded with tasks that need to be carried out with precision. They are eager to move away from legacy technologies that keep them bogged down, but also cautious of transitioning to the modern technology they need to support their AI and automation ambitions. We are pleased to be working with leading PE firms across the globe through the digitization of their operations with Eton.”
