Affirm, a payment network focused on consumer empowerment and merchant growth, has announced a partnership with the digital sports platform, Fanatics. This collaboration will enable Fanatics shoppers to utilize Affirm’s flexible payment options at checkout, particularly as the sports calendar intensifies and holiday shopping approaches.
Under the partnership, eligible consumers can choose to split their payments into bi-weekly installments or opt for a monthly payment plan directly at checkout. The process involves sharing a few details for a real-time eligibility decision. If approved, shoppers can select from various payment plans designed to fit their budget, with Affirm ensuring no hidden or late fees, or compounding interest.
Pat Suh, SVP of Revenue at Affirm, commented on the partnership, stating, “Few purchases spark as much excitement as picking up a new jersey or a signed collectible to show your team spirit. By teaming up with Fanatics, we’re giving millions of fans a smarter way to pay. From shorter-term payments for everyday merch to longer monthly plans that let fans spread out payments for big collectibles, it’s all about giving shoppers more choice and control at checkout.”
The service will initially be available on Fanatics and is slated to expand to over 180 additional team and league stores across the Fanatics network. This expansion will also include select partner shops in the UK and Canada. Fanatics joins Affirm’s global network of over 375,000 merchant partners, which includes brands such as StubHub, SeatGeek, Amazon, Costco, REVOLVE, Net-a-Porter, StockX, and adidas.
Affirm’s mission is to provide financial products that aim to improve lives through a payment network built on trust and transparency.
