Spectator Health, a San Diego-based senior living technology company, announced at the 2025 NCQA Summit its plans to license its senior health technology platform to payors, providers, and assisted living facilities to facilitate the closure of patient care gaps.

The company’s proprietary Real-time Care Gap Engine™, integrated into Spectator Health Pro, is a data-driven clinical management platform. Spectator Health Pro offers capabilities including charting and clinical data management, safety activities, Activities of Daily Living (ADL), lab integration, full e-prescribing and medication management, and care gap analysis.

Raghu Sugavanam, Founder and CEO of Spectator Health, stated, “Our AI-driven rules engine is now available to payors and providers who need to identify and stratify health problems for complex patients, followed by actionable gaps-in-care insight. We are actively seeking partners who want to integrate our care gap engine into their platforms.”

The platform incorporates National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Measure Certification™ for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) measures and AMP measures. These measures are utilized by 90% of health plans and providers to meet value-based health quality guidelines and qualify for bonuses from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.

Sugavanam further noted the engine’s capabilities, explaining, “Unlike other platforms, our engine provides real-time analysis at both the population and individual levels. It can process data for millions of patients simultaneously, making it incredibly actionable for both population health and patient-specific care.”

Dr. Ben Yu, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer at Spectator Health, highlighted the platform’s role in assisting physicians and clinicians by improving safety, efficacy, and cost at the point of care. Dr. Yu commented on existing challenges, stating, “The problem with healthcare is that people only know how to seek help after an emergency. Doctors and health systems can’t act preventatively because they can’t track daily changes across millions of patients without new technology.”

Dr. Yu described Spectator Health as a significant advancement, adding, “Spectator Health is a real breakthrough. It combines daily activity with healthcare data to deliver useful information in any platform at the right time, when medications, care, or follow-ups are impactful. Spectator Health can be integrated into multiple types of healthcare systems. In fact, their integration with assisted living software is the first of its kind that aligns social care with healthcare.”

Payors, providers, and senior care facilities interested in licensing the care gap engine can contact Spectator Health at 314-238-4476 or via email at partners@spectatorhealth.com. Spectator Health’s platform aims to bring value-based preventative health technologies to senior living communities, supporting seniors, caregivers, and assisted living facilities in managing senior health for improved outcomes.
