Tiptappay Micropayments Limited (tiptap), an in-person frictionless donation collection platform, has announced a new partnership with Pushpay, a provider of payment and engagement solutions for mission-driven organizations. Pushpay will offer Tiptap’s solution to its network of over 14,000 churches and parishes, aiming to combine digital and in-person giving for more seamless donation collection.
This collaboration addresses a decline in cash usage, which has presented challenges for faith-based organizations in maintaining in-person giving volumes. Tiptap’s solution has been shown to not only replace lost cash collections but also to significantly increase overall donation volumes while simplifying administration through its back-end reporting platform.
The partnership enables Pushpay customers and their congregants to donate by simply tapping a device with mobile wallet funds. Pushpay customers will also receive exclusive pricing benefits and can order Tiptap’s giving devices through a dedicated online portal, selecting either pre-bundled packages or customized solutions.
Barry Hildred, CEO of Tiptappay Micropayments, commented on the agreement, stating, “Tiptap is currently serving over 250 churches and parishes, including 10 dioceses. We are pleased to collaborate with Pushpay to further enhance onsite collections and support greater generosity among their customers. We anticipate being a valuable addition to their portfolio, assisting in their mission to strengthen community, connection, and belonging within the Church.”
Kenny Wyatt, CEO of Pushpay, also remarked on the new offering, “Tiptap addresses a significant challenge for many organizations by making in-person giving simple and seamless. We are excited to partner and provide our customers with a powerful tool that complements their existing giving channels. Having facilitated over $37 billion in generosity during the past five years, Pushpay understands the importance of a connected community, and we believe this partnership will open new avenues of generosity for our customers.”
This partnership directly responds to the evolving needs of faith-based organizations in a landscape increasingly dominated by digital payments. The collaboration supports Pushpay’s objective to equip its customers with necessary tools to foster community and generosity, while also streamlining the donation process for both organizations and their communities.
