Glia Launches AI Prospecting Tool for Business Banking Teams

Glia, a New York-based provider of AI software for banks and credit unions, has launched Prospect Snapshot, a tool designed to help community and regional financial institutions identify and assess business banking prospects. Banking teams enter a company’s name and address and receive a profile within seconds that covers likely financing needs, risk indicators and a suggested next step, with the supporting evidence shown alongside.

The tool is aimed at reducing the manual research that typically precedes a business banking conversation. Rather than checking UCC filings, Secretary of State records, court records, watchlists and other sources one by one, teams receive a single profile combining verified business information, enriched contact details, industry analysis, secured-debt data, risk indicators and screening results. Glia’s banking-specific AI then interprets the findings and explains what they may mean for a potential relationship.

“Business banking teams need to know which opportunities are worth their time and what to do next. But too many tools just give them more data to sort through,” said Justin DiPietro, Glia’s co-founder and chief strategy officer. He said the product carries out the research and connects the information so bankers have a clearer view of a company before contacting it.

Starion Bank is among the early users. Jeffrey Butts, the bank’s market president, said the tool gives his team structured intelligence in minutes rather than hours, helping staff prepare for meetings and anticipate customer needs.

The launch extends Glia’s platform into commercial and business banking and moves its AI to an earlier point in the customer relationship, before a business has become a client. Because Prospect Snapshot sits inside the existing Glia platform, institutions can add it without deploying a separate system.

Prospect Snapshot is now generally available. Glia says its platform is used by more than 700 banks and credit unions.
