American Express and the National Football League (NFL) announced a multi-year global partnership, designating American Express as the NFL’s Official Payments Partner beginning with the 2026 NFL season. This collaboration aims to deliver enhanced experiences, ticket access, and perks for Card Members and football fans worldwide.
The partnership will provide benefits at select events throughout the NFL season, from preseason to postseason, including NFL International Games. Tentpole events such as the NFL Draft and Super Bowl will feature on-site activations, along with special offers and promotions available at other NFL moments throughout the year.
Renie Anderson, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer for the NFL, stated that the partnership brings additional momentum to the league’s efforts to provide world-class experiences globally. She noted that the collaboration will expand access to unforgettable moments, spanning international games, the Draft, and the Super Bowl, while also enhancing on-site experiences and presale opportunities. Anderson highlighted American Express’s track record in elevating major sports events.
Elizabeth Rutledge, Chief Marketing Officer at American Express, commented on the company’s legacy in sports, noting its portfolio includes popular leagues, teams, and events designed to bring Card Members closer to the games they appreciate. Rutledge described the NFL partnership as a natural extension of American Express’s commitment to delivering meaningful perks, exclusive access, and elevated experiences, emphasizing the company’s pride in deepening connections with football fans.
American Express will support the NFL’s global expansion by offering Amex Presale Tickets for all league-owned International Games and implementing localized activations in select countries. For instance, Amex Presale Tickets for the 2026 NFL Melbourne Game, scheduled for Thursday, September 10, at 6:30 p.m. ET between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, will be available to Card Members from Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m. ET through Sunday, April 5, at 6 p.m. ET, while supplies last.
At the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, American Express plans to host an open-to-all fan experience and provide Card Member priority lanes for certain NFL-operated experiences. Eligible Card Members will also have the option to make reservations for a session in the Card Member Lounge and can enroll in an offer for purchases made at NFL Shop locations on-site during the Draft.
This partnership integrates the NFL into American Express’s existing portfolio, which includes more than fifty premier sports leagues, teams, venues, and events globally. This move reinforces the company’s dedication to providing Card Members with access and experiences related to their favorite sports. American Express has expanded its football presence in key markets through existing club deals with the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Miami Dolphins, offering perks such as presale tickets for select events, dedicated stadium entrances, Card Member Lounges, and exclusive concessions offers for home games.
Later this year, American Express and the NFL will introduce the NFL Extra Points American Express® Credit Card in the U.
