One Inc, a digital payments network for the insurance industry, has unveiled new AI-driven capabilities and an open protocol designed to enhance how insurance carriers integrate with its platform and manage payments data securely.
Central to this innovation is the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open protocol leveraging clients’ corporate LLM-based AI assistants, such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Microsoft Copilot. This protocol aims to accelerate integration and elevate service standards for One Inc’s flagship PremiumPay and ClaimsPay solutions. The enhancements are intended to reduce the time required for carriers to go live, modernize premium collections, and streamline claims disbursements.
The new capabilities are designed to drive higher digital adoption, reduce manual processes, lower exception rates, strengthen fraud controls, and provide a more seamless experience for policyholders and claimants. MCP is built for enterprise use, operating within each customer’s IT-approved AI environment rather than a centralized One Inc-hosted model. Data access is permissioned, authenticated, and auditable, with credentials managed under the customer’s existing security framework. Its standards-based architecture ensures that AI assistants interact with One Inc exclusively through governed APIs, maintaining strict control over access, behavior, and data flow.
For client developers, MCP aims to accelerate PremiumPay and ClaimsPay integrations through AI-assisted code generation, documentation, validation, and automated testing. For business users, the protocol provides secure, on-demand access to actionable insights, advanced reporting, and AI-generated analyses tailored to organizational needs. Unlike traditional AI features limited to vendor-hosted environments, MCP allows carriers to securely combine One Inc payments data with their internal systems and models within corporate AI platforms, supporting broader analysis and operational flexibility while maintaining security and compliance.
Ian Drysdale, CEO of One Inc, stated, “MCP is a meaningful step forward for our customers. Our clients depend on One Inc to innovate with insurance-grade data security in mind. By enabling AI-driven, near real-time access to critical payments data, we are empowering carriers and developers to work more efficiently, accelerate deployment, and establish a new standard of trust across the insurance industry.”
