Zuora, a provider of monetization solutions, and Workday, a financial management software company, have expanded their partnership to simplify revenue management for businesses navigating increasingly complex billing models by integrating Zuora’s order-to-cash automation with Workday Financial Management.

The collaboration aims to provide a unified solution for companies dealing with subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and hybrid billing models. This development addresses the growing challenge businesses face in managing diverse billing rules across multiple revenue streams, a complexity driven by changing customer expectations and the adoption of more flexible pricing strategies.

The integration is designed to help companies track revenue accurately, maintain compliance with accounting standards, and accelerate audit processes through automated reporting capabilities. It also reduces manual data entry and provides a single, consolidated view of financial operations.

Todd McElhatton, Zuora’s Chief Operating and Financial Officer, commented on the announcement: “Today’s announcement highlights our continued commitment to Zuora and Workday customers, combining Workday’s trusted financial backbone with Zuora’s intelligent monetization engine to optimize the order-to-cash process. Together, we’re empowering finance to be a stronger strategic partner to the business, armed with the unified view of financial data necessary to go to market even faster.”

The partnership leverages the certified Zuora Connector for Workday Financial Management, which functions as a specialized sub-ledger within Workday Accounting Center. This system automatically feeds financial data into Workday’s general ledger.

Rob Enslin, Workday’s President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated: “Accuracy is a constant challenge for companies managing complex revenue streams. Our partnership with Zuora will provide customers with a single, reliable view of their financial data – making it easier to operate efficiently, no matter the business model.”
