Yahoo has selected Navan, an all-in-one business travel, payments, and expense management platform, as its unified solution for travel and expense management. This collaboration represents a step in Yahoo’s ongoing business transformation, integrating Navan’s AI-driven platform into its operations.

Matt Sanchez, Chief Operating Officer at Yahoo, stated that the company is embedding AI and data-driven capabilities across its products and business operations, including travel and expense management. Sanchez noted that Navan’s platform provides a modern, unified solution designed to give employees more time to focus on innovation.

The decision to transition to Navan was based on three key areas: AI-Driven Productivity, Real-Time Visibility and Accountability, and Meaningful Cost Efficiency.

AI-Driven Productivity leverages Navan’s artificial intelligence to reduce manual processes and minimize support hold times, allowing employees to manage complex travel arrangements without extensive agent support. This is projected to free up thousands of hours for travelers, executive assistants, and finance teams, enabling them to concentrate on higher-value activities.

Real-Time Visibility and Accountability aims to provide finance teams with immediate data at the point of transaction, offering complete oversight and ensuring financial accountability across expenditures.

Meaningful Cost Efficiency targets a 7-10% reduction in total travel spend. This is intended to be achieved by replacing older content sources with Navan’s comprehensive inventory and direct NDC connections, which helps travelers find optimal rates on-platform.
