Xceedance, a global provider of technology-driven business solutions for the insurance industry, has secured a growth investment from Portage Capital Solutions, a firm focused on the financial technology market, in exchange for a minority equity stake. This investment brings the total capital raised by Xceedance, through both equity and debt, to approximately $100 million.

This marks Xceedance’s first institutional equity financing since its establishment in 2013, highlighting its growth and impact in the insurance services sector. The capital is designated to expand Xceedance’s portfolio of AI-enabled solutions and to fund strategic acquisitions of insurance-focused service providers.

Arun Balakrishnan, Founder and CEO of Xceedance, stated, “This investment not only strengthens our capital base but also connects us to Portage’s ecosystem in the insurance, technology, and broader financial services markets, unlocking meaningful synergies that will help accelerate our growth.” He added that the company has experienced significant organic growth since its inception, fueled by profit reinvestment and debt financing, and that Portage aligns with Xceedance’s long-term vision, cultural values, and commitment to innovation.

Xceedance operates with the conviction that domain-focused business service providers are well-positioned to leverage generative AI, supported by deep operational insight into complex insurance ecosystems. The company serves over 350 insurance clients globally and manages more than 1,000 complex property and casualty (P&C) workflows across the insurance value chain. Its offerings have been enhanced through its TPA platform and the prior acquisitions of Millenium Information Services and CIS Claim Services, solidifying its global presence.

Dan Ballen, General Partner & Co-Head of Portage Capital Solutions, commented, “Xceedance has established itself as a partner to both emerging insurers and prominent names in the industry. With the increasing adoption of digital solutions, Xceedance is positioned for continued growth and expanded opportunities as a recognized leader for its clients and partners.”

Morgan Partners served as the exclusive advisor to Xceedance, with Ernst & Young and Norton Rose Fulbright also advising the company. Portage Capital Solutions was advised by Paul Hastings and RSM.
