The investment provides WisdomTree with access to AlphaBeta’s platform, team, technology, models, and a network of academics. This aims to broaden WisdomTree’s research toolkit and deepen its expertise in AI-based investing.
The collaboration signifies a move to embed AI at the core of WisdomTree’s business operations, including research, index design, and portfolio management, going beyond its current use for productivity and efficiency improvements. This strategic shift is intended to enhance investor outcomes by integrating advanced AI into core investment processes.
A primary focus of this partnership is the development of new investment strategies. The objective is to create a pathway for launching AI-driven strategies in an exchange-traded fund (ETF) format, combining the sophisticated performance characteristics often associated with hedge funds with the accessibility, transparency, and liquidity benefits of ETFs.
