WEX, a global commerce platform, has announced a new partnership with energy leader bp and Mastercard to introduce the earnify™ fleet fuel card program in the U.S., offering fuel savings and comprehensive payment solutions for fleet drivers.

Designed for both small businesses and large fleets, the earnify™ fleet cards can be utilized for fuel and vehicle-related purchases at merchants that accept WEX and Mastercard. The program provides ongoing fuel rebates at over 8,000 stations across the bp family of brands, including bp, Amoco, TravelCenters of America, TA Express, and Petro stations nationwide.

“With the earnify™ fleet card, we’re combining WEX’s leading payments technology with bp’s robust fueling network to give fleets a smarter, more efficient way to manage operations,” said Brian Fournier, Americas SVP & GM, Mobility at WEX. He added that the program incorporates real-time controls, detailed data insights, and fraud protection, showcasing WEX technology’s role in advancing fleet payment innovation.

Beyond fuel, drivers can use their earnify™ fleet card for expenses such as parts and service, tolls, car washes, parking, and roadside assistance. This consolidated solution simplifies integrated reporting and invoicing. Business owners and fleet operators can set specific purchase controls, including restrictions based on product type, dollar amount, and time of day. The cards are also equipped with EMV chip technology for enhanced fraud protection.

Furthermore, earnify™ fleet drivers can enroll in the earnify™ rewards program to earn personal loyalty points when fueling for work at participating locations. This feature aims to improve driver satisfaction and encourage in-network fueling, benefiting both drivers and fleet managers.

Debi Boffa, CEO of TravelCenters of America and bp VP of Fleet Mobility, commented, “We’re excited to expand our long-standing relationship with WEX as we launch the earnify™ fleet card.” She emphasized that by unifying all of their fuel brands—bp, Amoco, TA, Petro, and TA Express—the new program makes it simpler for fleet customers of all sizes to fuel, save, and maintain loyalty across the entire network.

Mark Aquilina, SVP, Corporate Solutions and B2B Transportation at Mastercard, stated, “We’re delighted to collaborate with WEX and bp to launch this next-generation fleet card offer.” He noted that Mastercard’s purchasing capabilities, security features, and convenience will deliver additional value for commercial customers.
