Kojo, a leading construction procurement platform, announced it has secured a $10 million Series C extension investment from Wesco International, a prominent provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics services, and supply chain solutions.

This strategic investment aims to revolutionize materials coordination and visibility for contractors nationwide, marking a significant advancement in workflow automation and digitization within the construction procurement industry. By integrating Wesco’s extensive distribution network with Kojo’s artificial intelligence (AI) products, contractors are expected to gain real-time visibility into the location and status of their materials throughout the supply chain, from initial quote to submittals and final jobsite delivery.

The combined strengths of Kojo and Wesco are designed to eliminate manual data entry and email-based material tracking across project phases. Customers will access real-time material status for precise planning and to avoid costly schedule delays. Additionally, AI-powered insights will automate submittal reviews, material ordering, and release and delivery scheduling, with AI agents assisting in procurement activities, task scheduling, and distributor follow-ups.

Sean Grasby, Senior Vice President and General Manager of U.

S. Construction at Wesco, stated, “By leveraging the combined strengths of Kojo’s AI-powered platform and Wesco’s extensive distribution network, Kojo is poised to transform the construction industry, automating workflows and solving critical pain points for customers, leading to greater efficiency and accuracy in project delivery.” Maria Davidson, co-founder and CEO of Kojo, echoed this sentiment, calling the investment “a huge vote of confidence from a true industry leader in electrical distribution.” She added, “The feedback we’ve received from customers using our platform with Wesco has been incredible—they’re building more accurately, avoiding costly mistakes, and delivering projects on time and on budget with much greater ease. Together, we’re setting a new standard for how materials are managed in construction.”

Greg Padalecki, President and CEO at Alterman, Inc., an electrical contractor based in San Antonio, Texas, also commented, “Alterman is thrilled about Wesco’s investment in Kojo, which will bring powerful real-time visibility into our supply chain and procurement activities. With faster access to shipment schedules, delivery records, and purchase order status, our teams can stay ahead of delays and keep projects moving smoothly.”

Wesco’s $10 million investment extends Kojo’s Series C funding round, which was previously led by Battery Ventures. Other participants in the round included 8VC, Schneider Electric, RXR, Suffolk Construction, Human Capital, and BoxGroup. Akash Khurana, EVP & Chief Information & Digital Officer at Wesco, emphasized the company’s commitment to digital technology and AI to drive innovation, stating, “Our investment in Kojo supports this strategy by digitizing project-based construction workflows between our internal applications and the Kojo platform.”
