Vinmar International, a global distributor of plastics and chemicals, announced at Celosphere 2025 that it has significantly enhanced the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process for its $3 billion business unit by implementing Celonis’ Process Intelligence Platform, transitioning to an automated and intelligent operational model.
Previously, Vinmar’s O2C process involved manual coordination across multiple teams and platforms, which frequently led to complex logistics issues and increased costs. This included expediting over 20% of orders by default, indicating a lack of real-time visibility and proactive management capabilities.
By deploying the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform, Vinmar integrated real-time process data from its core systems, including ERP, logistics, and banking. This integration created a living digital twin of its supply chain operations, enabling the company to orchestrate people, systems, and AI to automate O2C workflows, proactively identify and flag distressed orders, and reduce manual email traffic and handoffs.
For instance, if an order faces a risk, the Celonis platform automatically routes it to the appropriate approver, provides a simplified approval form, and coordinates subsequent actions such as expediting shipping, postponing delivery, or updating the order status. This operational shift has resulted in an end-to-end process with high efficiency and minimal manual intervention.
Vishal Goradia, CEO of Vinmar International, stated, “Celonis’ platform is the foundation of our autonomous operations. It’s the intelligence layer, embedding AI directly into our workflow to automatically handle critical, real-time decisions and actions. This strategic shift is enabling us to deliver customer value, significantly reduce operational cost, and scale with unprecedented agility.”
Alex Rinke, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis, commented, “Vinmar’s success is a perfect blueprint for business transformation using AI powered by PI. We worked hand-in-hand with them to give their AI the context it needs, to ensure it was deployed in the right places, and to make it work with everything else they’re doing.”
The announcement was made during Celosphere 2025, Celonis’ global user conference, where business and technology leaders convene to explore advancements in process intelligence and AI for enterprise operations.
