Viamericas, a provider of remittance and international money transfer services, has expanded its global payout network into Vietnam through a new partnership with DongA Money Transfer Company.
The collaboration enables Viamericas customers to send funds to Vietnam with options for home delivery in both USD and VND, direct bank deposits in VND processed within minutes and available anytime, and cash pickup in either USD or VND at all Vikki Bank locations nationwide. These expanded services aim to offer Vietnamese families greater choice, speed, and reliability in receiving money from abroad.
Vietnam represents a significant market for remittances, receiving approximately $16 billion annually, which constitutes nearly 3.2% of its gross domestic product. In 2024, the country experienced over 30% year-over-year growth in remittance inflows, highlighting the importance of secure and flexible payout options for households that depend on cross-border transfers for essential needs like education, housing, and healthcare.
