Vantage Launches Automated Invoicing for Managed Service Providers

Share It:

Vantage, a cloud cost management platform, has introduced automated Managed Service Provider (MSP) Invoicing, enabling MSPs to streamline the entire customer billing lifecycle, from cost allocation to invoice distribution, directly within the platform.

The new MSP Invoicing feature is designed to automate the generation and distribution of invoices for MSPs to their end customers. This allows Vantage MSP customers to manage billing rules, allocate costs, and invoice clients directly through the Vantage platform, addressing a long-standing challenge for service providers.

Ben Schaechter, co-founder and CEO of Vantage, highlighted the operational overhead faced by MSPs. “Despite directly managing a considerable portion of the overall Infrastructure market on behalf of hundreds or thousands of their end-clients, Managed Service Providers haven’t had good options for software to help them manage them accordingly,” Schaechter stated. “MSPs managing multiple client environments face significant operational overhead when it comes to billing – and they’re forced to use decades-old, expensive incumbent software. Vantage’s new invoicing capabilities eliminate the manual workflows that have historically slowed down these processes. By automating invoice generation and distribution, we’re helping MSPs focus on delivering value to their customers rather than wrestling with antiquated and expensive billing systems.”

Historically, MSPs have relied on labor-intensive manual processes, often involving external systems and spreadsheets, to generate invoices, which frequently necessitated custom tooling or coordination with finance departments. Vantage MSP Invoicing aims to simplify this by providing automated invoice generation with final amounts within the same platform used for cost tracking and management.

Key functionalities include the ability to generate PDF invoices directly within Vantage, complete with detailed cost breakdowns and customer-specific metadata such as IBAN, VAT, and business addresses. The feature supports multi-currency billing, allows for invoice review and regeneration, and enables automatic distribution to customer billing contacts. Furthermore, MSPs can integrate these invoices into their general ledger systems. Vantage states that this functionality is offered at a more competitive price point than existing incumbent solutions, coupled with a modern user experience.

Vantage MSP Invoicing is now available to all Vantage MSP customers. Interested Managed Services Providers can request a specific conversation via the Vantage Partner Portal.
