Transcend has introduced Workflows, a new capability designed to enhance the automation of privacy rights processes for organizations.
Workflows builds upon Transcend’s existing automation engine, enabling privacy managers to configure and automate privacy requests of varying complexity. This includes fundamental operations such as data deletion and employee access requests, as well as more intricate, cross-system data flows like managing changes in communication preferences. The system aims to allow privacy teams to embed essential privacy controls into business systems.
As the volume and diversity of privacy requests continue to grow, tools that can manage these demands are increasingly necessary. Workflows offers the flexibility to manage specific rules and actions across different user types, jurisdictions, and sub-brands, all from a unified interface within the Transcend platform. This platform directly connects to an organization’s business systems.
Through Workflows, privacy teams can achieve faster automation, easier iteration, and adaptation to new privacy challenges or regulatory changes without requiring code. This approach is intended to help organizations of any size save time and scale privacy practices efficiently, delivering comprehensive compliance without a proportional increase in headcount or operational costs.
Ben Brook, CEO and co-founder of Transcend, stated, “Privacy should accelerate—not hinder—business operations. Workflows positions privacy teams to proactively embed essential privacy controls into business systems, making privacy an enabler of innovation rather than a source of friction.”
Key aspects of Transcend Workflows include the integration of advanced privacy controls for various request processes, designed for efficiency, and the automation of complex privacy operations to reduce overhead. Its no-code builder allows for customized request logic, making privacy operations more responsive to evolving business and regulatory environments.
Krishna Bhat, VP of Product at Transcend, commented, “Workflows extends Transcend’s end-to-end automation by making it even more accessible. With our depth and breadth of integrations, and now the ability to orchestrate them effortlessly, privacy programs gain greater clarity, control, and confidence in every operation.”
Workflows is a component of Transcend’s unified suite of privacy infrastructure solutions, which also includes consent and preference management, and data discovery and classification. The initial release of Workflows focuses on Data Subject Request Automation, with additional functionality for Preference Management use cases scheduled for rollout in the coming months.
