Tonkean, a Palo Alto-based AI-powered intake and orchestration platform, has acquired Cinch, an AI-powered finance and logistics intelligence startup. This acquisition represents a strategic investment in Tonkean’s procurement and finance offerings and aims to expand its presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Cinch, recently recognized as a 2025 Gartner® Cool Vendor in Logistics and Fulfillment Technology, provides an advanced AI platform that enables enterprise finance and procurement teams to automatically capture, organize, and analyze freight and invoice data in real time. The platform converts unstructured documents into actionable spend insights. As a result of the acquisition, Ohad Azgad, Cinch’s CEO and co-founder, will join Tonkean as the new General Manager for FinanceWorks, Tonkean’s agentic orchestration solution for enterprise finance teams. Ran Amar, Cinch’s CTO and co-founder, will assume the role of product architect for FinanceWorks.
For Tonkean customers, the acquisition integrates new capabilities for invoice processing, vendor analytics, and spend intelligence, designed to provide visibility and control over the procure-to-pay lifecycle.
Sagi Eliyahu, co-founder and CEO of Tonkean, stated, “The ripest part of any business for disruption by AI is G&A. This has long been Tonkean’s strong suit. We view acquiring Cinch, folding their expertise in finance and logistics intelligence into our broader orchestration capabilities, and joining their talented team with ours as a way to double down on areas where we’re growing quickly and where we’re already leading. We couldn’t be more excited.”
Ohad Azgad, Cinch’s co-founder and CEO, commented, “Tonkean is the undisputed leader of the orchestration space. We’ve long felt that what they’re making possible with end-to-end agentic orchestration is going to define the future of work in enterprise G&A. Tonkean provides a huge unlock for what we’ve been building at Cinch, and we’re excited to see what combining the two makes possible for enterprise finance and procurement teams.”
Cinch’s finance and logistics intelligence offerings will supplement Tonkean’s process and agentic orchestration with features such as real-time AI-powered invoice triage to detect discrepancies and risks through multi-way matching, centralized vendor analysis for benchmarking and spend insights, and dashboards that process and categorize bulk documents into a streamlined view of spend data.
This acquisition also signifies an investment in Tonkean’s EMEA presence. Cinch is based in Israel and has a notable presence in Germany. Eliyahu noted, “We’ve found that the demand for agentic orchestration is particularly fervent among finance and procurement teams in Europe. We’re signing many new enterprise clients operating there, and we’ve been eager for a long time to expand our overseas footprint. We’re excited to be doing exactly that now.”
This development follows other strategic moves by Tonkean this fall, including major investments into its orchestration offerings. In September, Tonkean introduced Proactive AI Agents, designed for enterprise procurement, finance, and legal teams. Earlier this month, Tonkean announced the hiring of Aaron Bromagen, former Head of Legal Operations at Snowflake, as its new General Manager of LegalWorks.
Tonkean is an AI-powered intake and orchestration platform that assists enterprise shared service teams—including procurement, legal, IT, and HR—in creating processes designed for adherence. The platform utilizes AI agents to anticipate employee needs and guide them through requests, while its orchestration engine automates manual steps and manages handoffs between individuals and systems, ensuring policy alignment. Founded in 2015, Tonkean is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, with R&D operations in Tel Aviv, Israel.
