Stellar Cyber, a cybersecurity solutions provider, and Centroid Systems, a cloud services and technology solutions provider, have formed a strategic partnership to deliver managed security service provider (MSSP) offerings leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The collaboration addresses the growing demand for secure cloud environments as organizations increasingly migrate operations to platforms like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Centroid Systems has specialized in facilitating these cloud transitions, providing consulting and managed services for Oracle enterprise workloads.
At the core of the new MSSP offering is Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform, which integrates multiple security functions into a unified solution. These functions include Next-Generation Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP), Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA). This integration is designed to provide security teams with comprehensive visibility into their IT, OT, and security environments, enabling faster threat detection and response.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure serves as the underlying infrastructure for Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform, providing essential services such as Oracle Cloud Guard and computing resources. Centroid’s enhanced MSSP services, powered by Stellar Cyber, will offer features including unified security operations to reduce complexity, AI-driven threat detection using machine learning, and automated response mechanisms with predefined playbooks. The service also features turnkey integration with OCI native security tools, including Oracle Cloud Guard, Oracle Data Safe, OCI Network Firewall, OCI Web Application Firewall (WAF), and VCN Flow Logs.
Andrew Homer, Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Stellar Cyber, stated, “Stellar Cyber has worked closely with OCI to help customers reduce risk and simplify security operations, making them turnkey and easy to implement. Now, in collaboration with Centroid to launch a managed service practice, we’re delivering end-to-end security solutions for Oracle customers.” Scott Whitley, CRO at Centroid, added, “Our mission has always been to empower enterprises through transformational services that drive cloud success. By integrating Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR platform into our MSSP offerings, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing secure, efficient, and innovative solutions tailored to our clients’ unique needs.”David Hicks, Vice President, Worldwide ISV Cloud and Business Development at Oracle, commented, “We are delighted to see our partners join forces to deliver an integrated managed security solution for Oracle customers. This collaboration between Stellar Cyber and Centroid highlights the strength of our partnership ecosystem in driving innovation, enhancing service delivery, and reducing cyber risk to accelerate customer success.” This partnership leverages Centroid’s nearly 28-year relationship with Oracle and its recognized status as a strategic Cloud Managed Service Provider, combining it with Stellar Cyber’s security technology.
Centroid Systems, founded in 1997, is headquartered in Troy, Michigan, and began as an Oracle Consulting Services business. It has since evolved into a provider of managed cloud services and enterprise workload consulting across major hyperscalers, with certified resources in the United States, South America, and India offering 24/7 support.
