SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSNC) has expanded its European wealth management business by establishing SS&C Wealth Services Europe Ltd., which has received authorization under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) from the Central Bank of Ireland.
The new entity, based in Dublin, builds upon SS&C’s existing U.
K. wealth management business, creating a pan-European platform. This expansion aims to provide advanced technology, regulatory expertise, and comprehensive servicing capabilities to the European Union’s wealth management sector. The company can now deliver its full suite of technology-enabled wealth management solutions directly from Ireland.
SS&C Wealth Services Europe Ltd. will focus on assisting financial institutions in modernizing and scaling their wealth operations through SS&C’s integrated wealth platform, custody, and back-office services. SS&C currently employs over 550 professionals in Ireland, managing more than EUR 95 billion in assets across various fund structures and EUR 25 billion in Life & Pension products.

The European wealth management market is a significant component of the global wealth landscape. According to the European Fund and Asset Management Association, European investors’ fund ownership reached EUR 18.6 trillion by the end of 2024, representing a EUR 2 trillion increase within a single year.
