SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc., a global provider of financial services software, has partnered with Thornburg Investment Management, an active asset manager, to launch a new generative AI-powered sales enablement solution. The tool is designed to provide sales teams with fast, consolidated access to critical financial advisor insights directly within their customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
Named the “Sales Prep” tool, the application leverages generative AI to enhance the process of preparing for both digital and in-person interactions with financial advisors. It achieves this by aggregating and summarizing content from various sources, making key insights available to sales professionals in one centralized location within their CRM systems.
The solution is now available to Thornburg’s intermediary sales team and integrates with each salesperson’s calendar and email. Jesse Brownell, Global Head of Distribution and Managing Director at Thornburg, stated that the tool empowers their sales and marketing teams with actionable insights and improves efficiency, contributing to a better experience for advisor clients and enabling more impactful conversations.
Lee Kowarski, Head of Distribution Solutions at SS&C, highlighted the collaboration as an example of SS&C’s capability to assist clients in utilizing generative AI. Kowarski noted that the tool allows Thornburg’s sales professionals to reduce time spent searching for information, enabling them to focus more on building relationships with advisors. SS&C plans to continue developing bespoke distribution solutions with Thornburg and other clients.
In addition to the sales enablement tool, SS&C also collaborated with Thornburg to develop an advanced analytical model. This model is designed to prioritize advisors and advisor teams within each sales territory, further optimizing sales efforts.
SS&C’s Distribution Solutions business provides intelligence tools and data analytics aimed at helping asset managers distribute their products more effectively through financial intermediaries. Their product suite includes data management offerings like SalesConnect and analytics tools such as WalletShare, alongside customized sales enablement tools and consulting services.
