SS&C GlobeOp Reports 1.25% Gross Hedge Fund Performance for July 2025, Capital Movement Index Shows 0.63% Net Inflows in August 2025

SS&C Technologies announced that its SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index recorded a gross return of 1.25% for July 2025, while the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index showed positive net flows of 0.63% for August 2025.

The 1.25% gross return for July 2025 from the SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index indicates the aggregate performance of funds for which SS&C GlobeOp provides monthly administration services.

For August 2025, the SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index registered 0.63% in positive net flows, marking an increase from 0.17% reported for the same period a year prior. Bill Stone, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SS&C Technologies, commented, “Slowing economic growth and ongoing tariff negotiations continue to amplify market uncertainty. The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index is an asset-weighted, independent monthly measure of hedge fund performance. It provides a flash estimate of gross aggregate performance by the ninth business day of each month. The index, which began on January 1, 2006, is designed to be transparent, consistent in data processing, and free from selection or survivorship bias. Its correlation to many popular equity market indices has been approximately 25% to 30% since its inception.

The SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index tracks the monthly net of hedge fund subscriptions and redemptions, divided by the total assets under administration (AuA) for fund administration clients on the SS&C GlobeOp platform. Cumulatively, the index for August 2025 reached 126.99 points, an increase of 0.63 points over July 2025, and has advanced 2.80 points over the past 12 months. This index, published on the ninth business day of each month, provides a view of investments in hedge funds based on actual capital movements.

The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Performance Index’s gross figures include a year-to-date (YTD) return of 7.10%, a last 12-month (LTM) return of 11.05%, and a life-to-date (LTD) return of 308.29% from its base of 100 points on December 31, 2005.

The SS&C GlobeOp Capital Movement Index, also based at 100 points on December 31, 2005, reached an all-time high of 150.77 in September 2013 and a 12-month high of 126.99 in August 2025. Its all-time low was 99.67 in January 2006, and its 12-month low was 123.40 in January 2025. The largest monthly change recorded was -15.21 in January 2009. The SS&C GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator, another component of the index family, recorded an all-time high of 19.27% in November 2008 and a 12-month high of 3.54% in December 2024. Its all-time low was 1.48% in April 2022, and its 12-month low was 1.56% in July 2025, with the largest monthly change at 9.60% in November 2008.

The SS&C GlobeOp Hedge Fund Index suite offers transparency on liquidity, investor sentiment, and performance. It is based on a significant platform of diverse and representative assets, with data collected from all hedge fund clients for whom SS&C GlobeOp provides administration services. The data is based on the same reconciled fund data used to produce fund net asset values (NAV). Funds acquired through the acquisition of Citi Alternative Investor Services have been integrated into the index suite since January 2017 reporting periods. SS&C GlobeOp’s total assets under administration on its platform represent approximately 10% of the estimated assets currently invested in the hedge fund sector, with investment strategies spanning a representative industry sample.
