Soluna Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: SLNH), a developer of green data centers for intensive computing applications, including Bitcoin mining and AI, has announced an expansion of its hosting agreement with Blockware, a North American crypto mining infrastructure and services provider, adding 3 megawatts (MW) of capacity at Soluna’s Project Dorothy 2 data center in Texas. This expansion follows an initial 5 MW deployment in April, bringing Blockware’s total contracted footprint at the site to 8 MW. The agreement reflects Blockware’s swift decision to secure additional capacity, citing the value of Soluna’s vertically integrated, renewable-powered infrastructure. Soluna provides full-stack infrastructure, including power management, data center operations, and on-site support, creating a cost-effective and sustainable environment for high-performance Bitcoin mining. John Belizaire, CEO of Soluna Holdings, stated, “We’re excited to deepen our relationship with Blockware. This expansion is a testament to the trust we’ve built together and a reflection of the momentum our Project Dorothy platform is generating in the market. We’re proud to be the partner Blockware chooses to scale with.” Kentaro Masuda, Chief Operating Officer at Blockware, commented, “Blockware is proud to continue building alongside Soluna, expanding from our initial 5MW deployment with an additional 3MW of capacity. The first phase has consistently delivered reliable uptime and operational efficiency, validating both the site and the partnership.” Masuda added that the partnership enhances the Blockware Marketplace by increasing the supply of next-generation ASICs, aiming to make profitable and efficient Bitcoin mining accessible. Blockware’s total deployment at Project Dorothy 2 now accounts for up to 8 MW, representing an estimated 450-550 PH/s of hashrate powered by renewable energy. This collaboration is noted as advancing both companies’ commitment to sustainable blockchain infrastructure in the United States.
