ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW) announced that Solaris SE, a prominent European embedded finance platform, has chosen ACI Connetic to unify its SEPA instant payments infrastructure onto ACI’s cloud-native payments platform.

ACI Connetic is described as a unified solution that integrates account-to-account (A2A) payments, card processing, and AI-powered fraud prevention within a single, modular cloud-native architecture. This integration is designed to enable financial institutions to simplify operations, accelerate innovation, and meet evolving regulatory requirements with increased agility and cost-efficiency.

Solaris SE, a German technology company holding a full banking license, empowers European businesses to embed compliant digital banking services directly into their products. The migration of its instant payments infrastructure to ACI Connetic is intended to enhance the agility and performance of the banking services Solaris offers.

Carsten Höltkemeyer, CEO of Solaris SE, stated, “Migrating our instant payments capabilities to ACI Connetic marks a key milestone in Solaris’s digital transformation and growth journey. It future proofs our payments infrastructure, accelerates service innovation, and enhances the value we deliver to partners and their customers across Europe.”

Tom Warsop, CEO and President of ACI Worldwide, commented on the broader implications of the platform: “ACI Connetic represents a significant step-change in our commitment to supporting financial institutions as they navigate the complexities of the global payments landscape. In an environment of increasing payments complexity and regulatory demands, ACI Connetic delivers the agility, resilience, and innovation required to drive digital transformations, sustainable growth and long-term success.”

This initial phase of a comprehensive payments modernization project aims to facilitate new payment offerings in additional markets and strengthen Solaris’s capacity to manage the intricate regulatory and technological demands of digital banking. The platform is expected to support Solaris in efficiently onboarding new Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) clients and cultivating new revenue streams, while upholding security and compliance standards.

Richard Albery, Head of Commercial, Europe, at ACI Worldwide, emphasized the strategic nature of the collaboration: “The partnership between ACI Worldwide and Solaris underscores both companies’ commitment to driving the future of embedded finance and digital payments in Europe. By leveraging ACI Connetic, Solaris is positioned to lead the next wave of banking innovation, delivering seamless, secure, and scalable financial services to its growing ecosystem of partners.”
