RoadFlex, a provider of fleet payments and fuel risk management, has been awarded a national cooperative purchasing contract by Sourcewell, enabling public agencies to procure its platform and technology through a streamlined, compliant process.
Sourcewell is a cooperative purchasing program designed to assist public agencies in saving time and money through pre-negotiated, competitive contracts. This partnership grants public agencies access to acquire RoadFlex through a ready-to-use, Sourcewell-vetted contract, simplifying their procurement efforts while adhering to local and state requirements.
Public agencies have traditionally relied on older fuel card systems that often feature limited controls, unclear billing, and restricted integrations. RoadFlex aims to replace these with a modern, cloud-native platform that offers real-time visibility into spending, automated policy controls, fraud protection, seamless integration with fleet, accounting, and telematics tools, and transparent pricing without hidden fees.
“Public Sector fleets are under constant pressure to improve transparency and reduce costs,” said Rush Akin, Chief Revenue Officer at RoadFlex. “This collaboration brings together Sourcewell’s commitment to streamline purchasing for government and nonprofit agencies with RoadFlex’s modern fleet payment solution, which offers full contract compliance and advanced sustainability capabilities.”
Sourcewell members utilizing RoadFlex will benefit from comprehensive fuel management, gaining visibility into fuel usage, expenses, and fleet activity across retail fueling, in-yard fueling, and EV charging. The platform also provides advanced tools for improved cost control, minimizing waste and optimizing budgets. RoadFlex’s system integrates with existing fleet management, telematics, accounting, and asset management systems, offering a unified approach to fuel tracking and data analytics, alongside enhanced compliance and reporting features.
RoadFlex is the first new provider to be awarded this specific contract since Sourcewell’s fuel card program was established, indicating an expansion of available options for public agencies.
RoadFlex provides next-generation analytics insights, operations automation, and fleet reporting. Customers using RoadFlex have reported average annual fuel savings of 11%. The platform offers robust tools for real-time transaction monitoring, fuel usage analytics, and fraud prevention. It provides flexibility for drivers to fuel wherever Visa is accepted, eliminating reliance on limited fuel networks, and includes user-friendly features such as custom spending rules and transaction alerts.
