Red Rocks Credit Union has launched Roxie, a new virtual assistant powered by advanced agentic AI, designed to provide members with faster, more modern support and enhance the digital banking experience.
The introduction of Roxie positions Red Rocks Credit Union among the early adopters of fully conversational, voice-first AI assistants within the credit union sector. Available 24/7 by phone, Roxie aims to offer quick access to account information, assist with common inquiries, and streamline the overall service experience for members. The credit union anticipates Roxie will manage over half of routine member inquiries by the end of the year, enabling staff to concentrate on more complex interactions and expand service capacity.
Red Rocks developed Roxie in collaboration with interface.ai, a provider of intelligent service technology for community financial institutions. The platform facilitates natural conversations, secure authentication, and rapid information retrieval, contributing to reduced wait times and improved access for members. Roxie assists members with checking balances, reviewing recent transactions, locating branch information, and answering general questions through natural voice interaction.
To verify identity, Roxie employs multifactor authentication, safeguarding member information throughout each interaction. The system also aims to enhance accessibility and maintain consistent service quality during peak call periods and non-business hours. Interface.ai’s platform, which is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II attested, adheres to major financial data protection standards, a key factor in Red Rocks’ selection.
Darius Wise, President and CEO of Red Rocks Credit Union, stated that Roxie reflects the institution’s commitment to meeting evolving member needs for simple, personal, and fast service. He emphasized the goal of creating tools that ease members’ financial lives while preserving human connection. Josh Henderson, Senior Vice President of IT at Red Rocks Credit Union, added that Roxie helps the team focus on interactions requiring a human touch, providing members with greater control and convenience. He also noted that Roxie establishes a foundation for future capabilities.
This launch aligns with a broader industry trend where credit unions are exploring new technologies to extend service hours, manage costs, and meet growing expectations for intuitive support. Red Rocks views Roxie as a significant component of its strategy to leverage innovation for enhancing member financial well-being. The credit union intends to expand Roxie’s functionalities over time, including support for more advanced transactions and deeper financial insights.
Red Rocks Credit Union, established in 1979 and based in Littleton, Colorado, serves nearly 18,000 members across Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson Counties. It provides both in-person and digital banking services. Roxie is now available to all Red Rocks Credit Union members.
