Plexus Launches AI-Powered Marketing Wizard to Expedite Content Approvals and Enhance Compliance

Plexus, a leading in-house legal technology provider, has introduced Marketing Wizard, an AI-powered compliance platform designed to accelerate marketing and legal team workflows while mitigating brand and business risks. The platform aims to integrate legal guidance directly into the marketing creation process, allowing both teams to focus on generating and protecting brand value.

Marketing Wizard represents the latest addition to Plexus’s AI-powered platform, which is currently utilized by prominent FMCG, retail, and financial services companies such as Coca-Cola, L’Oréal, Lion, Woolworths, and AIA. It provides instant, AI-driven compliance insights during content creation, enabling faster launches and ensuring that marketing assets adhere to both legal and brand standards.

Powered by Plexus’s proprietary AI engine, Marketing Wizard draws upon over 230 industry laws, codes, and regulations, applying each organization’s specific legal and brand intelligence. This capability allows the system to automatically approve compliant content and highlight only higher-risk items for review. This process is reported to reduce legal workloads and content turnaround times from days to hours.

Andrew Mellett, founder and CEO of Plexus, stated that the inherent tension between speed-to-market and compliance has become “one of the most expensive productivity gaps in modern business.” He elaborated that marketing teams prioritize speed, while legal teams focus on risk, creating a structural bottleneck. Mellett affirmed that Marketing Wizard addresses this by embedding an organization’s legal intelligence directly into the creative process.

The launch comes as marketing velocity increases, with more content being produced across a greater number of channels, often under tighter budgets and heightened regulatory scrutiny. According to Plexus, the average legal review process can take seven to ten days, leading to launch delays and costly late-stage revisions. Mellett noted that by automating standard compliance checks, the tool is already cutting up to 70 percent of routine legal escalations, providing marketers with instant, explainable feedback and allowing legal counsel to concentrate on higher-value tasks.

Marketing Wizard analyzes marketing copy, advertisements, and various content types in seconds, applying over 230 regulations, including the AANA Code of Ethics and Australian Consumer Law, in addition to a company’s unique brand, policy, and legal guidelines. Cadell Falconer, Head of Product at Plexus, emphasized, “We’ve designed Marketing Wizard to make marketing compliance feel like collaboration. It’s a system that learns your brand, speaks your language, and helps everyone work with more confidence.”

Key capabilities of the platform include instant, AI-driven compliance scanning across copy, ads, and creative assets; embedded legal knowledge for marketing self-service guidance; real-time risk scoring and intelligent routing; a unified workflow with version tracking and audit history; and smart content quality assurance for grammar, spelling, and brand consistency.

Mellett articulated his view on compliance, stating, “Compliance is often viewed as the cost of doing business. We see it as the enabler of faster, safer creativity.” He added that by providing teams with immediate legal confidence, organizations can not only save time but also increase marketing output, reduce external legal spend, and build brand trust. Early adopters of the platform have reported campaign launch speeds up to five times faster, alongside a measurable reduction in late-stage agency changes and external legal costs.

Marketing Wizard seamlessly integrates with existing creative and content workflows, fostering collaboration between marketing and legal teams within a single environment. This development follows Plexus’s successful $6 million capital raise in May, led by existing shareholders and Seattle-based Lighter Capital. These funds are designated to fuel expansion into international markets, accelerate AI product delivery, and onboard new talent. Plexus serves over 250 global organizations, including Nike, L’Oréal, Coca-Cola, Woolworths, and AIA, providing a Legal OS that automates, accelerates, and scales legal work across contracts, matters, and compliance.
