PAR Technology Corporation (NYSE: PAR), a leading provider of foodservice technology, has announced the launch of PAR AI, a new intelligence layer integrated across its product suite. This initiative introduces Coach AI, a purpose-built intelligent assistant designed for critical roles within restaurant operations.

PAR AI-powered features are embedded into the core of PAR’s existing products, including point-of-sale (POS), back-office systems, loyalty programs, drive-thru management, and payments. This approach integrates artificial intelligence directly into existing workflows, eliminating the need for technical training or new applications, and aims to deliver actionable insights seamlessly.

Coach AI functions as an operational intelligence assistant for corporate leaders, area coaches, and managers, embedded within the PAR OPS™ platform. It provides instant answers, aiming to reduce manual data analysis and interpretation, thereby allowing staff to focus on training and guest engagement. By using natural language questions, Coach AI draws live data from POS, inventory, labor scheduling, and various external files to generate visualizations, key performance indicator (KPI) grids, and actionable recommendations without requiring users to switch between platforms.

Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology, stated that PAR AI represents a shift towards an “AI native” approach, embedding AI into all company operations. He emphasized a focus on owning workflows to drive new outcomes within existing processes, leading to automation that is intelligent and enables capabilities previously considered unattainable. Singh added that PAR AI is intended to be the foundation for running a smarter, faster, and more agile business, with Coach AI being the initial offering in this new direction.

PAR AI’s strategic advantage is attributed to PAR’s comprehensive restaurant technology ecosystem, which includes a wide product portfolio, a unified data foundation capturing operational and guest interactions, and over 650 API-certified integrations. This infrastructure is designed to provide real-time intelligence that flows across the restaurant environment, enabling coordinated, intelligent workflows from labor optimization to inventory management, loyalty programs, and menu strategy.

John Rankin, Senior Director at Charter Foods and a beta user of Coach AI, reported that the tool has eliminated the need for spreadsheets and is on track to replace traditional business intelligence tools and custom reporting, moving towards real-time decision-making.

Future capabilities under the PAR AI umbrella include a marketing intelligence assistant, slated for release in Fall 2025 and integrated into the PAR Engagement™ platform. This assistant will aim to transform campaign and customer data into actionable insights, offering real-time analytics on loyalty program performance, digital ordering, and customer engagement. Additional planned AI capabilities include proactive, ROI-ranked operational recommendations, voice-enabled ordering, real-time menu updates, campaign targeting, and natural-language audience segmentation.
