OP Life Assurance Ltd, part of Finland’s largest financial services group OP Financial Group, has launched Guidewire Jutro Digital Platform (JDP), becoming the first insurer in Europe and the first life insurance company globally to implement the platform to enhance digital capabilities for its sales teams.
This implementation further expands OP Life Assurance’s existing digital infrastructure, which in recent years saw the deployment of Guidewire PolicyCenter and Guidewire BillingCenter on Guidewire Cloud Platform. These earlier adoptions facilitated a comprehensive transformation of the company’s term life insurance line of business. The Jutro Digital Platform now allows OP Life Assurance to streamline new business conversion, foster stronger partner engagement, and improve customer retention by enabling insurers to update products and features once and instantly deploy those changes across all digital intake points and partner channels. With its integrated design system, Jutro supports rapid design, testing, and deployment of customer-facing digital journeys without requiring rebuilding of underlying infrastructure. Guidewire partner CGI provided support for this latest implementation process.
Katja Taponen, Deputy CEO of OP Life Assurance, highlighted the market need, stating, “Less than 10% of Finns currently have life insurance, indicating a significant protection gap among our consumers.
