Octus, a credit platform provider, has introduced Sky Road Research Management, an enhancement to its Sky Road portfolio management solution, integrating analytical tools, news alerts, financial data, and document management directly into the platform.
This launch fulfills Octus’ commitment, made during the Sky Road acquisition, to deliver a fully vertically integrated platform for both public and private credit markets. Kent Collier, CEO of Octus, stated that the goal was to create a unified platform where managers can transition from insight to execution without switching systems.
Sky Road Research Management unifies credit news and analysis, data, and portfolio workflows, connecting all stages of the credit lifecycle and portfolio management process. Users gain direct access to real-time intelligence, fundamental financial data, new issue pipelines, and proprietary content within the same environment where they manage trade orders, monitor compliance, and optimize holdings.
John Borse, founder and head of Sky Road at Octus, emphasized that Research Management transforms the vision of an end-to-end credit workflow into reality, allowing credit managers to observe, understand, and act on market information within one connected experience.
The Sky Road platform currently manages over $200 billion in assets. With the integration of Octus’ intelligence and data, clients are expected to benefit from enhanced portfolio visibility, dynamic compliance, and actionable insights, aiding in risk management and opportunity identification.
Jeff Kramer, Vice President of Workflow at Octus, noted that as credit markets become more complex across leveraged loans, private credit, and structured finance, integrated data, intelligence, and portfolio management are crucial, and Research Management addresses this need. Octus plans further enhancements and integrations throughout 2026 to expand its credit management ecosystem.
Octus, established in 2013, provides credit intelligence, data, and workflow solutions to leading buy-side firms, investment banks, law firms, and advisory firms. The company aims to provide verified intelligence and a complete view across the credit lifecycle through human expertise, technology, data, and AI tools.
