Netcracker Technology has finalized a revenue management modernization program for SLT-MOBITEL, providing the Sri Lankan telecommunications provider with a unified platform for billing and revenue management across its mobile and fixed operations.

This initiative involved consolidating SLT-MOBITEL’s systems onto Netcracker Digital BSS, creating a single, future-proofed platform. Netcracker also provided implementation and post-production support services. The deployment enables SLT-MOBITEL to increase cash flow through the reusability of BSS functions and accelerate billing cycles.

The modernization program is part of a broader effort by SLT-MOBITEL, which serves as the National Information Communication Technology (ICT) service provider in Sri Lanka. This strategic consolidation aims to unify brands and IT infrastructure to enhance customer service. The new deployment has facilitated SLT-MOBITEL in managing a rapidly growing business and a higher volume of transactions processed by the BSS platform.

Imantha Wijekoon, CEO at SLT-MOBITEL, commented on the long-standing collaboration: “We have deployed several evolutions of our revenue management and billing platform with Netcracker during the almost two-decade partnership. With our latest billing modernization program, we are excited to be able to drive new and innovative services and a greater level of customer support throughout the business.”

Bob Titus, Chief Technology Officer at Netcracker, acknowledged the relationship: “The strong relationship with SLT-MOBITEL is very important to us, and that trust continues as we complete this significant program. We look forward to supporting SLT-MOBITEL’s ongoing success as it expands the business and evolves with product and service offerings.”
